The Insabbiata is a colorful artistic and cultural event that takes place in Ispica during the last weekend of May every year. This event, now in its tenth edition, was initiated by the youth of the Insabbiata cultural association with the aim of enhancing the historic center of the city.
At the heart of the event is the installation of a long carpet of colored sand in Piazza Sant'Antonio Abate, similar to the Infiorata in Noto. The theme of the carpet changes every year, with this year's theme being a tribute to Chagall. The Color of Love.
The program is packed with events every evening, and you will find spaces dedicated to crafts and the tasting of typical products.
