As welcoming, restful and wonderful as ever

This was our third trip to Torre Marabino and it never disappoints. Such lovely staff, with almost zero staff turnover ( a sign of a happy staff group). Such wonderful rooms (we were in Archimede and Don Pasquale). Such delicious breakfasts - Eleanor is a huge asset. Such a perfectly proportioned pool, kept beautifully clean. Such verdant and restful gardens. Such great food and waiting staff at dinner, with the estate's delicious wines to wash it all down. And located in the perfect location for journeying around to Ragusa, Noto and Modica. What more could one ask? Oh yes. Sea. Well there's Pozallo and Sampieri all very close, or Vendicari farther off

A small oasis of tranquility ....

We had an extended stay here this summer (2016). With only 7 bedrooms this is a small hotel, but the building has been beautifully and tastefully restored, and the gardens are very pretty and well kept. Our room was a 'superior room' and was a very good size, with a large bathroom, there was also a small area to prepare your own food if you didn't want to eat in the restaurant, a mini bar, and a safe. Nearby (about 10 minutes drive) is a beautiful sandy beach, which although quite busy in summer, has plenty of space for everyone. (Although parking can be an issue!)
Breakfast is a buffet, slightly different every day, with a wide range of choice, and home made marmalade from their own organic farm. The restaurant, is excellent for the most part, during our stay there were a couple of dishes which didn't work, but for the most part the food was delicious and beautifully presented, complimented by the wine from their own vineyard. The thing that really makes this place though is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Nothing is too much trouble, service is excellent. Lots of places to visit nearby, would recommend Noto and Scicli in particular

A Farm at the Beach

Yoga in the quiet hours of the morning on a glorious lawn, sunsets on a terrace overlooking the farm and sea, service that goes above and beyond, and the food... Torre Marabino was a lovely place to launch day trips to the beach or baroque towns nearby. We had a small kitchen which was fun to cook in but you need not, their restaurant is open all hours to accomodate- a luxury in Italy. We are very thankful to the staff for making us feel so welcome. Lovely boutique hotel, beautiful grounds, large rooms with rustic decorations, excellent service, all meals were outstanding. Very close to one of the most beautiful beaches in Italy. I would definitely stay here again.

This is the third time I have stayed at Torre Marabino, I cannot come to Sicily without staying here...everyone is truly wonderful. The rooms are spacious, lovely and rustic. The food is sublime, breakfast is situated in a beautiful area, the pool is fantastic and the gardens are perfect for relaxing, Pilates or Yoga. Dinner is amazing, al fresco and every wish is catered for. I can't wait to come back again! The location is perfect - easy to explore Modica, Ragusa, Scicli and Noto oh and of course the beaches! Ciao!!

positiv : excellent resort under a beautiful Sicilian landscape.
negativ: Sicilian cuisine in the resorts own restaurant is not worth his money, there are much better
authentic locals near around. The wine prices, self produced, are also beyond good and evil

Perfect for a relaxing couples' getaway

The service received from the management and staff at Torre Marabino was excellent. We were greeted by Simona on arrival and shown to our beautiful and spacious suite in the Torre. The staff in their wonderful restaurant were friendly and really helpful in advising us about the wines and food. Simona went out of her way to book us a trip to Etna and offered us an early breakfast on our day of departure without us having to ask. Overall service rating 5/5.
We stayed in one of the suites, it was full of character with lovely simple furnishings. The small kitchenette area was perfect for preparing snacks or simple meals. There was no kettle so we used the hob to boil water when we wanted to make a drink (tea bags, coffee and sugar were provided). Room was very clean. Overall rating for the room was 5/5.
Although the beach and town are only a few kilometres away, it is not possible to walk to them without encountering main roads which you wouldn't want to walk down because of the traffic. It is handily located for visiting the Baroque towns by car. The A18 east coast motorway is reasonably close providing access to Syracuse, Catania and Etna in 1.5 - 2 hours.
There is a lovely outdoor pool and sunbeds, very nice gardens and plenty of free parking. Lunch and dinner are served in the restaurant, drinks available from the bar. In the lounge area there are plenty of books and information on Sicily. Overall rating for location and amenities is 4.9/5.
Relais Torre Marabino is perfect if you are looking for a quiet relaxing couples' holiday. We loved the aperitifs on the patio before dinner, the food and wine, and the welcoming friendly staff. The only disappointment was that we could not go out walking or cycling directly from the Torre, there are places to go walking in the local area but you need to travel to them by car.
Torre is in the higher price range but worth every euro, we would definitely recommend this hotel

Charming Torre

Beautifully kept Torre hotel with good rooms. The welcome and care by Simona and the staff is brilliant. The gardens and terraces are immaculate. The breakfast is wonderful and Elena kindly looked after exceptionally well. (Best cappuccinos I have had) Dinner is an amazing experience and we had both the Terre and Peche 5 course tasting menus. We did share though because it would have been too much for 1 person. The rest of eg menu is delicious. Thank you Chef Giovanni and especially Luigi for organising everything. The only think missing at the Torre is anywhere to walk / run / jog. We walked down the 3 mile beach nearby 2 mornings culminating in a swim before breakfast - but you do need a car to do that. It would be good if there were some footpaths to follow that link up with some quieter roads. All in all highly recommended and some of the best cooking I have ever tasted

We stayed in this charming hotel for 5 nights on a half-board basis. Everyone at the hotel was so helpful and happy to do all they could to make our stay special. The Torre has been beautifully restored, all the terraces, gardens, rooms were immaculate. The breakfasts offered varied and wonderful produce, all presented by Elena, and the evening meals ( huge portions!) were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We so enjoyed our stay, we hope we will be able to return
